Morning and Evening Supplications
02-
I seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty, the Most High, and I turn to Him in repentance.
21- To be recited three times:
Recite this, then recite once the last three verses of Surah Al-Hashr from chapter 28:
In an authentic hadith, it is mentioned that whoever recites three times in the morning and evening:
and then recites these three verses once, Allah Almighty appoints seventy thousand angels who pray for him, and if he dies during that day or night, his death will be considered as that of a martyr.
22- Narrated by Abu Mas‘ud al-Badri (may Allah Almighty be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah Almighty (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) said: “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him.”
Explanation: The Prophet (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) informs that whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night before sleeping, Allah Almighty protects him from every evil, harm, and disliked matter. It is also said that “they will suffice him” means they suffice him instead of night prayer or other remembrances, or that these two verses are the minimum recitation for the night prayer. All interpretations are correct and fall under the hadith’s general meaning.
23- Anas ibn Malik (may Allah Almighty be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah Almighty (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) said: Whoever sends one prayer (salat) upon me, Allah Almighty sends ten blessings upon him, forgives ten of his sins, and raises him ten degrees in rank.
Outside of prayer, it is better to send both salat and salam together, as in verse (56) of Surah Al-Ahzab, where both are mentioned:
Indeed, Allah Almighty and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace). O believers, send blessings upon him and greetings of peace.
Say this:
24- Narrated by Abu Ayyub (may Allah Almighty be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah Almighty (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) said: “Whoever says:
ten times, it will be as if he has freed four slaves from among the descendants of Isma‘il.”
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah Almighty be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) said: Whoever says one hundred times a day,
(There is no god but Allah Almighty, alone without partner. His is the dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things), will have a reward equal to freeing ten slaves, one hundred good deeds will be written for him, one hundred sins erased, and he will be protected from Satan that day until evening. None will do better except one who does more.
To be recited ten or one hundred times:
25- Abu Hurayrah (may Allah Almighty be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) said: “Whoever says:
one hundred times a day, his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.”
To be recited one hundred times in the morning and evening:
