Supplications During Prayer
Supplication of Prostration of Recitation(Sajdat at-Tilāwah):
سَجَدَ وَجْهِيْ لِلَّذِيْ خَلَقَهُ، وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ وَبِحَوْلِهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ ﴿فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحۡسَنُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ
My face has prostrated to the One Who created it, and gave it hearing and sight by His power and strength. Blessed is Allah Almighty, the Best of Creators.
Tashahhud:
اَلتَّحِيَّاتُ ِللهِ، وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكاَتُهُ، اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِـحِيْنَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ محمّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ
All kinds of reverence, prayers, and purity are for Allah Almighty. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah Almighty and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah Almighty. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah Almighty, and I bear witness that Muhammad (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) is His servant and His Messenger.
Sending blessings upon the Messenger of Allah Almighty (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) after Tashahhud:
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى محمّد وَعَلَى آلِ محمّد، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ، أَللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى محمّد وَعَلَى آلِ محمّد، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ
O Allah Almighty, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah Almighty, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.
Supplication after the last Tashahhud and before Salaam:
In a hadith, the Prophet (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) said: After reciting the Tashahhud in the final sitting, choose any supplication that you know well and ask Allah Almighty.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
أَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ ظُلْماً كَثِيْراً، وَلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِـيْ مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِيْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ
O Allah Almighty, I have greatly wronged myself, and none forgives sins except You. So forgive me with forgiveness from Yourself and have mercy on me. Indeed, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
taslim (greetings) at the end of prayer :
The Messenger of Allah Almighty (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) after completing the prayer would turn to his right and say:
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ
Meaning: Peace and mercy and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon you, O believers.
Then he would turn to his left and say:
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ
