These are some verses of the Noble Qur’an along with their some virtues:
The Supplication of the Prophet (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) After Reciting This Verse of Surah An-Naml
قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَى آللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ (59)
Say, “Praise be to Allah Almighty, and peace be upon His chosen servants. Is Allah Almighty better, or what they associate with Him?”
It is narrated that the Prophet (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) used to say after this verse:
بَلِ اللّه خَیرٌوَّاَبقیٰ وَاَجَلُّ وَاکْرَمُ
“Rather, Allah Almighty is better, everlasting, more majestic, and more noble.”
After Reciting from Surah Ar-Rahman
(Marfu‘) It was narrated by Abdur-Rahman ibn Waqid Abu Muslim As-Sa‘di, who said: Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us from Zuhair ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn Al-Munkadir, from Jabir (may Allah Almighty be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah Almighty (may Allah Almighty bless him and give him peace) came out to his companions and recited Surah Ar-Rahman from its beginning to its end. They remained silent. He said: “Indeed, I recited it to the jinn on the night of the jinn, and they responded better than you. Each time I came to the verse:
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
(Surah Ar-Rahman, verse 13)
they said:
«لَا بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ نِعَمِكَ رَبَّنَا نُكَذِّبُ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ»
‘None of Your favors do we deny, our Lord, so for You is all praise.’”
Imam At-Tirmidhi said:
This is a rare (gharib) hadith; we do not know it except from the narration of Al-Walid ibn Muslim from Zuhair ibn Muhammad.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal said: The Zuhair ibn Muhammad who was in Sham (Syria) is not the same Zuhair from whom the people of Iraq narrate; he was a different man whose name was confused because of the strange narrations transmitted from him.
I heard Muhammad ibn Isma‘il Al-Bukhari say: The people of Sham narrate strange (munkar) reports from Zuhair ibn Muhammad, while the people of Iraq narrate from him acceptable hadiths.
